We are over the moon to share Rita and Adams Belfast wedding at Deanes at Queens!
When Rita first got in touch with us she said ”We both live in Manchester and that’s where I am from, Adam is from Lisburn. We have chosen Belfast to be the location for our wedding as it is a place that is incredibly special to us. We are also desperate to introduce our friends and my family to Northern Ireland and to show them all that it has to offer.”
It was the brightest crisp day in Belfast City and it was a sign that Adam and Rita’s February wedding was getting some Universal approval! The couple made their preparations separately. Adam was down home at his parents whilst Rita was tucked up in a little apartment on Malone Avenue with her nearest and dearest. They had their wedding ceremony in the Good Shepherd Chapel on the Ormeau Road.
The wedding itself was heartfelt. The most magnificent moment was when a close friend sang Ava Maria up in the gallery of the stunning church whilst Adam and Rita signed their marriage license. It was astounding.
The wedding reception was held at South Belfast restaurant Deanes at Queens. Guests enjoyed drinks, canapés and acoustic music whilst we had the newlyweds away for their portraits in Botanic Gardens. The gardens, by the way, are a testament to the ground keepers skill, even in February they still looked spectacular!
We love photographing weddings at Deanes at Queens because the staff are always so friendly and helpful, the food is something else too!
Adam and Rita decorated the venue with lots of flowers, bringing the botanical theme from the close by gardens into the restaurant and table names were famous landmarks of Belfast, wonderfully drawn by Belfast artist Flax Fox.
The evening was finished with kickass speeches, Rita sang a love song to Adam and the dancing was kicked off by the newly weds living their best lives and encouraging everyone else to join in their first dance.
In all, it was a beautiful wedding to be a part of and we hope you enjoy the story of their day!
