We are excited to share Vince and Melissa’s Irish Canadian wedding at the Ulster Museum, Belfast Northern Ireland!
When Vince and Melissa first got in touch they let us know that they wanted a few posed photos but mostly they wanted a relaxed wedding photographer that could capture candid moments of their wedding day.
It was a bright sunny day in Belfast. Vince made his preparations with his groomsmen at his mum’s house whilst Melissa enjoyed the morning with her mum and bridesmaids in the Fitzwilliam Hotel, Belfast. The wedding date coincided with Belfast’s Pride Parade so being high up in one of the hotel suites it was an awesome vantage point to see the colourful march.
The wedding itself was full of joy and happiness with both Irish and Canadian families and friends from around the world supporting the couple and their commitment to each other.
The reception was held in the Ulster Museum – which fun fact for photography geeks has a massive monument to Kelvin the father of colour temperature!
As guests made their way from the church we had the newlyweds away for their portraits around the grounds of the museum.
We love photographing weddings at the Ulster Museum because it is such a bright building and has botanical gardens nearby for photographs!
For a break from tradition, speeches were held in the foyer of the Belfast Room, guests stood as each speaker took to the steps. It was such a lovely moment to photograph. The dancing was kicked off by Melissa and Vince having their first dance and succeeding in doing the most badass lifts we’ve seen yet!
In all, it was an amazing wedding to be a part of and we hope you enjoy the story of their day!
