We are thrilled to share Luke and Seainin’s September garden wedding at the Victorian Walled Gardens in Bangor!
Luke and Seainin had originally planned to have their wedding in their own beautiful back garden of their recently renovated townhouse but due to circumstances beyond their control they decided to have their ceremony in the local botanical garden – and what a choice it was!
The couple made their preparations separately; Seainin spent the morning in the couples new home with her bridesmaids whilst Luke was just a stones throw away at his Mums.
It was a bright, balmy day over on the Ards Peninsular with a slight sea breeze making its way over the red brick walls. Luke and Seainin had their wedding ceremony under a stunning Victorian Band stand that in another life lived on the Seafront and had since been lovingly restored. To think of the dropped ice creams, proposals and holiday fun that band stand would have seen and now it was witnessing Luke and Seainin’s commitment to each other!
The wedding itself was beautifully intimate, especially with the inclusion of their dog, Morrie. It was just perfect! Following the ceremony guests were treated to champagne to celebrate, this was our chance to steal the newlyweds away for their portraits and to have a moment to themselves in the beautiful gardens.
The reception was held at the incredible Field of Dreams, just outside of Groomsport. Guests enjoyed a treat of tea and cake and friends provided an awesome soundtrack of acoustic music to while away the afternoon.
We love shooting at Field of Dreams because of its unique triangle lodge that’s used for dinner service and dancing.
Luke and Seainin decorated the venue with paper cranes and even more blooms, keeping the garden wedding theme going, complete with flower decorations on their cake and drift wood with their name inscribed!
The evening was finished with hilarious speeches and the dancing was kicked off by Luke and Seainin having their first dance.
In all it was an beautiful wedding to be a part of and we hope you enjoy the story of their day!
