We are so thrilled to share Barnaby and Harriets beautiful late spring wedding at Stowford Manor Farm just outside Bath in Somerset.
Fun fact, their wedding day fell on the same day as another wedding, the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. As Meghan arrived at St George’s chapel Harriet’s side of the wedding party was getting ready in a gorgeous room of the Stowford farmhouse. Of course, everyone took a pause to see Meghan arriving to the wedding – because we all had to see THE dress!
Guests made their way to Stowford Manor Farm throughout the morning, pitching tents and setting up their campers as it was BYOA (Bring Your Own Accommodation), it added to the fun festival vibe of the wedding day.
The wedding ceremony was held inside a wonderfully decorated Barn of Stowford Farm. From the colourful fabric bunting hung from the rafters (including disco glitter ball!) to the stunning floral arrangements in the various recesses of the walls and the flower arch for guests and eventually Harriet to enter through.
It was an intimate wedding ceremony as led by Barnaby’s uncle and various readings from those people closest to them. It was a lovely way to celebrate the loveliest of people joining together forever! Following the ceremony guests congratulated the newlyweds with a riot of colourful confetti, it was the ultimate way to start any wedding reception.
As guests were treated to cocktails of Aperol Spritz at the Har-Bar we took Harriet and Barnaby for a stroll around the grounds of Stowford Farm to create a few portraits, even with a guest appearance from a (large) piggy friend.
The reception was held inside a marquee on Stowford Farm and decorated to perfection. Foilage and colourful lanterns were hung from the roof, the table names were a variety cheeses – beautifully depicted in watercolour by Harriet’s dad and in the corner, an impressively tall naked wedding cake, made by Harriet’s sister, waited to be devoured.
We left them to celebrate into the warm late spring evening.
We loved our time photographing Harriet and Barnaby’s wedding in Bath and we hope we get to visit Somerset again in the future!
