We are so excited to share Paul and Clare’s DIY wedding at Drenagh House Estate just outside Limavady.
When we say DIY we truly mean it. Clare was a creative mastermind for their wedding. Clare ( a graphic designer) designed everything from table plan, menu cards, name cards and even customised her own wedding dress! She did an incredible job!
It was a gorgeous warm summers day in south Belfast. Clare made her preparations at her parent’s house with all of her maids before heading to the wedding ceremony at the Good Shepherd Church on the Ormeau Road, Belfast.
Following the ceremony, everyone made their way to the always amazing Drenagh Estate on the North Coast.
As guests were arriving we borrowed Paul and Clare for a quick walk around the grounds of Drenagh to create a few portraits. We especially had a good giggle as we posed the newlyweds for a portrait and one of the guests walked.straight.though.the.photo. *facepalm* but it was hilarious!!
The reception was held in the marquee within the walled gardens of Drenagh Estate. It looked spectacular as it was decorated with black and white striped tablecloths, accented with pops of gold. They also gave individual name cards to each guest and had a novel idea for favours. Instead of the usual sugared almonds *boke* they gave each guest a raffle ticket and called 4 or 5 winning tickets during the speeches. Each winning ticket received a lovely gift from the couple and made for some awesome reactions!
It was a laughter filled wedding and a total joy to be a part of and we hope you enjoy the story of their day!
