The wonderful union of the butcher’s daughter and the actor… well, actually, they’re both actors – Ben and Clare run their own theatre company so we knew their wedding would have the best production, and we were right. It was perfect, we bloomin’ loved their wedding day!
They made their forever promises in a quaint little church just outside Ballykinler with the Mourne Mountains of county Down overseeing the goings on.
After a short interval for photos down on the beach we made our way back to Ballydugan House – it was the first wedding reception ever to be held there. This pair’s stage background shone through with exceptional attention to detail and colourful back lighting in all of the little recesses’ of the old barn.
Clare’s father is a master butcher so no surprise that meat played a big part in the wedding day – the table names were all cuts of beef and the meat for dinner was all provided and approved by Clare’s dad – as you would expect it was delicious!
Be sure to check out the chocolate cake stuffed with macaroons – yes you heard right, stuffed – it was marvellous!
Ben and Clare danced the night away with good company and awesome music. We loved getting to know these two and being a part of their happy day!
